Commercial Solar Installation Process With Alectric Renewables
Commercial solar is a long-term investment that requires accurate planning, proper engineering, and a clear project path.
Alectric Renewables follows a structured process designed to support commercial and industrial property owners from the first assessment through commissioning and long-term operation and monitoring.
This page outlines how we deliver reliable, compliant, and high-performing commercial solar systems.
Why Are Commercial Properties Choosing Solar?
Commercial buildings benefit from solar via significant tax and capital incentives, reduced electricity costs and increased control over long-term energy planning.
Alectric Renewables focuses on commercial and industrial systems only, ensuring each installation is engineered around the structural, electrical, and operational needs of larger facilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of warranties do you offer?
We provide a 5 year workmanship warranty together with an O&M Agreement. We support our product warranties – 10 years on inverters and racking, and 30 year performance warranties on solar modules.
How do you ensure quality in every installation?
Alectric Renewables uses an extensive Quality Assurance Process in which quality controls are documented over the course of the installation. These records are submitted to the engineers of record.
How do you monitor PV systems after installation?
Alectric Renewables uses a combination of monitoring solutions, including inverter-native monitoring, which allow us to detect and correct faults down to the string level. In addition, we monitor production using billing grade production meters
How do you ensure structural integrity of commercial rooftops?
Every installation is reviewed by a structural engineer, whose report forms the basis of a building permit. There is no need to reinforce 99% of commercial rooftops.
What do you take into account when considering rooftop and ground-mounted systems?
Typically there is no practical opportunity to combine rooftop and ground mout solar PV. Ground mount solar PV at the scale required by commerical buildings is costly, as ground mount solar enjoys economies of scale for projects which are ten times larger than the typical roofmount system. Further, its more attractive to develop commercial land adjacend to industrial buildings with other industrial uses, as compared to investing in a ground mount solar project
How is system performance monitored after installation?
We have access to the inverter’s native monitoring platform, and sometimes provide a third party monitoring platform
What kind of panels and inverters do you use?
We use only Bloomberg Tier 1 solar modules. Module choice varies by market. We often use Canadian Solar, Longi, Thornova modules, and Solis or Chint inverters.
How are your installations designed for durability and harsh weather?
All solar installations are made to last in the outdoor environment.
Do you offer structural engineering and permitting services?
Yes, we do.
