Technical Assistant (AutoCAD & Data Analysis)

The successful candidate will work directly assisting the executive team. The role involves the production of supporting documentation such as technical drawings using AutoCAD and reports and data analysis based on large datasets using Google Sheets.

• AutoCAD drafting experience. Some knowledge of and ability to read architectural plans, electrical, mechanical and structural drawings. Creating scaled drawings with the ability to understand different viewing perspectives (plan view, profile, etc.)
  
  • Creation of rooftop solar panel layouts, taking into account multiple factors, including code requirements, design best practices, shade objects, etc.
  • Scaled mechanical drawings showing dimensions and design at different perspectives
  • Drawing over a scaled architectural roof drawing
• Microsoft office skills Mainly Excel with knowledge in Office Scripts and automation
• Google Workspace Suite Tools / Google Sheets.  Apps scripts Java scripts and Google Drive
• Data analysis using Google Sheets
  • Manipulate 2 differing and large datasets to match, and extract key information from them as well as graphs to create an understanding of an extensive dataset.
  • Create a template to automate an analysis process when the data is repeating.
  • When a similar but time consuming analysis is repeated, ability to create a script to automate and speed up the process.
  • Understand and simulate a BESS system which will compare client consumption interval data with solar simulation data and based on the cycle and function of the battery, determine and simulate the battery performance. From this information, extrapolate the data to decide the required size of the battery based on the solar system size and client consumption.
  • Take utility hourly consumption data, and compare it to our measured consumption as well as simulated system. Take this data and measure accuracy and deviation in a presentable way.
  • Someone who has demonstrated using macros and scripts for the purpose of modifying a spreadsheet.

• Knowledge of online productivity platforms such as ClickUp.
• Knowledge of AI platforms
  • Use of AI agents such as ChatGPT or other platforms to assist in the creation of various types of data analysis, using data inputs such as client utility bills or client interval data.
• Electrical Engineering concepts
  • Reading, understanding, and creating SLDs
  • Understanding how 3 phase power flows
  • Understanding how DC power from generated PV modules travels to the DC MPPT inputs of an inverter and then gets converted to AC power.
    • Know difference between AC and DC
  • Understanding the difference of series and parallel for the purpose of solar strings
  • Understand that protection must be considered along the lines like circuit breakers and what purpose they serve.
• Editing PDFs
  • Create and modify PDF form templates for O&M reports where you can quickly fill them in as a standardized report.
• Report Writing
  • Some English writing competency.
